Affordable, High-Quality CNA Training

AAA Career Institute is committed to providing accessible, workforce-focused education that prepares students for success as Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs). Our hybrid Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) combines online learning, hands-on skills training, and supervised clinical experience to prepare graduates for the Texas Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation.

Program Tuition: $795

Student Fees: $200

Total Program Cost: $995

Payment Schedule

  • Application/Enrollment Fees: $200
  • Enrollment Deposit: $295 (due at registration) 
  • Remaining Balance: $500 (due on or before the first day of the Skills Assessment Class) 


Note: Students must satisfy all financial obligations before receiving a Certificate of Completion or becoming eligible for program completion exam and documentation.

What's Included

Your tuition includes:

  • Two instructor-led Skills Assessment Classes (16 hours) 
  • Supervised Clinical Training (40 hours) 
  • Experienced nurse instructors 
  • Clinical rotation with an approved clinical instructor, mentor, or preceptor 
  • Skills laboratory instruction and competency validation 
  • Access to online remediation modules (Relias, Canvas, or other approved learning platform) 
  • One (1) Texas Nurse Aide Competency Examination voucher (Prometric) 
  • Skills competency checklists 
  • Course handouts 
  • Certificate of Completion (upon successful completion of all program requirements)

Student Responsibilities

Students are responsible for obtaining the following items before beginning the Skills Assessment Class and/or clinical training:

  • Navy blue scrub uniform 
  • Closed-toe, closed-heel, non-slip work shoes (no sandals, clogs, canvas shoes, or open-toe footwear) 
  • Watch with a second hand or digital seconds display 
  • Stethoscope 
  • Manual blood pressure cuff 
  • Gait belt (if not provided during training) 
  • Notebook or 2–3 inch three-ring binder 
  • Notebook paper 
  • #2 pencils 
  • Black ink pens 
  • Highlighter 
  • Reliable computer or laptop with internet access 
  • Current CPR certification
  • Background check and drug screening (as required through Complio) 
  • Tuberculosis screening and immunization documentation 
  • Any additional personal items required by the assigned clinical facility

Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements before enrollment:

  • Complete the Pre-Enrollment Student Meeting. 
  • Submit the required Applicant Intake Form and Program Application. 
  • Pay the required $200 application/enrollment fee and $295 enrollment deposit and complete the Enrollment Agreement. 
  • Be at least 18 years of age. 
  • Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to safely complete the program. 
  • Have reliable access to a computer and internet to complete the required 60-hour HHSC Computer-Based NATCEP online coursework. 
  • Meet the physical requirements necessary to safely perform the essential duties of a nurse aide, with or without reasonable accommodation. 
  • Provide required health documentation, including current tuberculosis screening and immunization records, as required by the assigned clinical facility. 
  • Successfully complete all required Complio compliance requirements, including background screening and drug testing. 
  • Not be listed on the Texas Nurse Aide Registry with a revoked certification. 
  • Not be listed as unemployable on the Texas Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR). 
  • Meet all eligibility requirements established by Texas Health and Human Services and the assigned clinical training facility.
